14 Nov Ledcrieff & Lairds Fishing Report – w/e 13th November 2016
FISHING REMAINS OUTSTANDING AT LEDCRIEFF
A week of mixed conditions at Ledcrieff this week, we have had snow, hard frosts, rain, gales and then today what felt like summer again. What did remain steady was the fishing with just about everyone out catching fish.
Notable catches this week was Brian Thomson from Edzell with 12 and as many lost, this included plenty browns up to 4lb and a fish estimated at 10lb. Colin Shepherd has landed over 30 this week between his two visits, a great effort as always!! Well done that man!!
Tactics remain much the sames with Internmediate/sink tip lines taking the majority of fish when fished slowly with damsels, buzzers, fabs amongst others……
The week ahead, sees cooler dry conditions which will bode well for the weekend with settled conditions being the norm.
The average catch size after the weekend is sitting at nearly 4lb given the healthy number of fish caught in the 5 – 7lb class coming of each day. The brown trout average is sitting at 2.5lb
****PLEASE REMEMBER | ALL BROWNS TO BE RETURNED****
As always, for those wanting to try their hand at fly fishing, we offer coaching (booking required) and we also do group bookings where we will throw in the BBQ and a photographer. Fire me an email at email@example.com for full details.
Remember, we are open ’til dark 7 days a week.
